So we didn't think we'd be those parents who were never away from their child until he/she was over 2 years old, but here we are! (Jen had spent a night away, and Jeff had been gone for a week on a mission trip, but that was all.) So we finally decided we needed our own getaway. We traveled to Toronto and visited Niagara Falls to celebrate our 9th anniversary over Memorial Day weekend. Grams and G-Dad came to spend the weekend with Kyla, and off we went.
We had a wonderful weekend, including a relaxing plane ride (Jen actually read a book and took a nap!), a fun time just being together while exploring a new city, and seeing a new part of God's wonderful creation. And Kyla had a great weekend too--although we're not sure who was more worn out: Kyla or the grandparents. We are so appreciative of all of our family who make it easy to leave Kyla for a bit.
