June was here and then gone in an instant it seemed. After Kyla's preschool was over for the year, we had about two weeks before the busy summer fun began. First we started off with VBS, where Kyla got to experience her first year in the morning Rally. She was a little wary of the noise the first two days but then she joined in! She had such fun learning to Journey Off the Map and was so excited to be in class with Katelyn.
The next two weeks included her first professional hairdo with a long cornrow weave (she loved the long hair and kept flipping it over her shoulder), swim lessons (during which she learned to put her face under water all by herself!), and visits with cousins. Jen and the kids came in town and we had fun bowling and having a sleepover. Then we headed to Austin for Oliver's first birthday. Kyla adored all of her cousins!
